Low back pain is common, but not normal.

There are a number of injuries, misalignments and conditions that cause lower back pain.

  • The low back is complex and that is because it is required to absorb stress while moving.
  • Tendons, ligaments, discs, muscles and bones make up the spine, which surrounds and protects the spinal cord.
  • These can become irritated or damaged resulting in pain.

Sometimes it takes a severe trauma, but more commonly it is from minor repetitive stress, which causes the most damage.

This is why it may be hard to relate it to a particular event.

Now physical injury is not the only way to hurt your lower back.

Conditions such as obesity, arthritis, kidney stones and urinary tract infections have been linked to low back pain.

There are a lot of possibilities and this is why it is important to get it checked out as soon as you can and be proactive with your low back pain.

We help many people with low back pain and would love to discuss your specific lower back pain issue and how Chiropractic may help.

Without an accurate diagnosis and treatment, even the most minor conditions can develop into serious lifelong conditions.
